Our Story - From skeptic to fan!

 

Our journey to essential oils started about 18 years ago when our oldest son had chronic ear troubles.  We went from antibiotic to antibiotic and ear infection to ear infection.  There was not an available prescription that we didn't try!  Eventually, we ended up going the surgical route and placing tubes in his ears....twice!  ( I'll never forget that first surgery when the doctor had to pry my son out of my arms and take him from me.  It was the most helpless feeling I've had thus far as a parent.  Even though I knew that this should help him, I still felt powerless to do anything and his care was completely out of my control!)

To make a long story a little shorter, the ear issues continued.  Someone suggested that we take our son to a lady who "rubs feet".  I thought this was perhaps the craziest thing I had ever heard, but hey...it was only $30! That is a lot cheaper than the medications, so why not!  Well, she rubbed his feet, and his ears drained.  I thought to myself "what a coincidence!".  The the next ear issue came, we took him back and yep, you guessed it, the ear drained again!  That was enough for Aimee to want to learn more and eventually led to her becoming a certified foot zoneologist.  As part of that course of study, she was introduced to essential oils.

I was still quite the SKEPTIC when it came to oils being anything other that something that smelled nice.  I would try to use them, but would quickly lose interest when I wouldn't see any results.  We tried oils from everywhere!  We had oils from the big MLM at the time, from large European producers, and from smaller boutique distillers from around the world.  We could never get CONSISTENT results.  Imagine how thrilled I was when Aimee came home one night with ANOTHER little kit of oils!  I thought (and said) "Here we go again!  What's wrong with all the other oils you already have..."  (yes, I know...I was not nice.  I have since repented and begged for forgiveness ).  She said "These oils are different".  (You can see just how mean I was HERE.)

The rest is history!  We started to see the results that we had always hoped we could have with a natural alternative to Western traditions.  Aimee used the oils with her clients, and had amazing results.  Her referral business tripled and she began to see the possibilities of selling oils...helping others to have the experiences we were having, as a very real possibility.  She began to share, teach, grow, and build.

We found a passion of helping other people and it just happened to come with a business opportunity that provided us with the vehicle to live the lifestyle that we had only dreamed about.  We set our hearts and our goals high and we have never looked back!  It was hands down one of the best decisions we have made!  We are now empowered to take a proactive approach to our family's health and wellness and we are now blessed to spend our days sharing this same gift and opportunity with others!  If you think that you have the vision and the drive to build your own doTERRA business, we would like to talk to you!  Let's see if we are a good fit for each other and if we are, let's get to work and create the future that you have always wanted!
